Dr. Elizabeth York is a Traumatic Brain Injury survivor. Having recently completed a 4-year study of TBI survivors and their experience of returning to work after traumatic injury, she now coaches TBI/PTSD survivors. . As a doctor in Organizational Psychology, her coaching includes life skills, job skills, developing resilience and coping strategies and art therapy for TBI/PTSD survivors, their caregivers, and the people who are so important to their support networks. She also works with organizations, providing training workshops for supervisors, HR personnel and others to help educate and inform them of the special challenges unique to TBI survivors.
Having experienced two severe traumatic brain injuries, she now brings her experience to help others who have survived traumatic brain injuries. As a Traumatic Brain Injury Coach and I/O consultant, she provides support and guidance for those in recovery, as they rebuild their lives and work towards finding the "New Normal" successfully.
Dr. York serves on the State of Washington TBI Council.
